A lot of things in Korea centre around Seoul. Seoul
has many things to offer from experiencing South
Korea's culture and history to modern buildings
and foreign restaurants.

There are several tour companies that offer half
day and day packages for people to see the
famous sites which include the Blue House (South
Koreas's presidential Palace). It is also possible
to take a cruise down the Kan river which runs
through the centre of Seoul and take a night bus
tour.

Hotels in Seoul can range from cheap budget
hotels to the more up market five star hotels.

Getting to Seoul
There is a Subway system form Gimpo Airport to Seoul or alternatively you can take a limousine bus. There are
also regular bus services from Incheon Airport which is the main Airport for people coming to Korea from over seas.

Getting to Anmyeon Island

There is a regular bus service to Taean from Nambu bus station in Seoul. From there you can take a local bus to
Anmyeondo or you can take a bus to Anmyeon direct from Nanbu Seoul.
Blue House

Official residence of the president is called "The Blue
House".The symbol of the Blue House, which is at the
center of Korean politics, is the blue tiles. The first
thing that catches your eye when you arrive at the
Blue House is also the blue tiles of the main building.
The blue tiles and the smooth roof are in beautiful
harmony with Mt. Bugaksan behind it.
Gyeongbokgung Palace

Gyeonbokgung Palace is a palace erected during the
reign of king Taejo, founder of the Joseon
Dynasty(1392-1910) which was the final kingdom in
Korea, but it was destroyed in the Japanese invasion of
1592. It was reconstructed in 1868. It has 4 gates
including the southern main gate, Gwanghwamum.

Jogye Temple

Jogyesa Temple leads to the Zen Buddhism in Korea.
This temple does not give off the solemn and deep
mountains. But it has some advantages compared to
the other temples because the transportation is very
surrounding city ar
ea.
