Sample take off lesson
Normal Take off

A normal take off is any take off that is made into the wind and there
are no immediate obstructions after the runway. The runway is also
paved.

    1. After clearance taxi onto the runway

    2. One final check of the wind or any possible  dangers.
Turn on fuel pump. Select the flaps and  turn on lights and
    strobes if needed.

    3. Smoothly and firmly apply the throttle

    4.  Keep the plane straight by using the rudder pedals. As
the plane speeds up, you will need  less control inputs.

    5. As you are going down the runway, final check that the
airspeed indicator is working and the engine gauges are
    all within limits

    6. Rotate the aircraft at rotation speed. This is done by
smoothly pulling back on the stick

    7. After the airplane becomes airborne you may have to
release a small amount of stick pressure     to let the
airplane build speed nd stop the plane pitching up
    excesively

    8. After a safe altitude retract the flaps in stages and adjust
the power and speed to take off  settings

    9. Trim of all the stick pressure and turn off fuel pump
This lesson has been simplified just so people know the basic idea.. A complete lesson looks at take off charts,
engine checks and airplane systems and speeds for the airplane which is used in the lesson.
Watch to see how it's done
